Azee is a medication that is based on Erythromycin, and its active component is Azithromycin. It is prescribed for treating conditions such as acute bacterial sinusitis, community-acquired pneumonia, pharyngitis/tonsillitis, acute bacterial flare-ups of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections, cervitis, urethritis, and genital ulcer diseases.
Azee is effective against various types of bacterial infections, including ear infections, skin infections, respiratory infections, and sexually transmitted diseases. Azithromycin works to combat bacterial infections in the body. It is also utilized for treating tonsillitis, strep throat, pneumonia, and middle ear infections in children. However, it is not effective against viral infections like the common cold or flu.
In adult patients taking Azee, the most frequently reported side effects are related to the gastrointestinal system, including diarrhea or loose stools, nausea, and abdominal pain.
If you experience any signs of an allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, hives, or swelling of the face, tongue, lips, or throat, seek emergency medical assistance. Discontinue the use of Azee and contact your healthcare provider immediately if you encounter severe side effects, including watery or bloody diarrhea, irregular heartbeats, chest pain, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), nausea, stomach pain, low-grade fever, severe fever, serious skin reactions, sore throat, skin pain followed by a red or purple rash that spreads (especially on the face or upper body) and leads to blistering and peeling.
Store Azee at room temperature, away from children and pets, and protect it from sunlight.
